Central Goals are the development of new, intelligent medical databases, among others, within the framework of the joint project Clinical Data Intelligence of the Federal Ministry for Business and Technology. In addition to the development of automated segmentation and characterization algorithms, the focus is increasingly on the inclusion of clinical data and information from genetic material in order to use modern mathematical algorithms related to pattern recognition. By linking this information to content from the electronic patient record and gene analysis, possible changes in diagnostics and image interpretation and the influence on therapy management are investigated. For the large amounts of data required for this purpose, the working group optimizes the automation of data extraction and the necessary anonymization.
